Penthouse Mounts Gold Anniversary Bash at Majestic Barriere Hotel

LOS ANGELES, CAPenthouse is set to host its supreme event next week during MIPTV market: an exclusive, invitation-only party to commemorate the landmark 50th anniversary of the iconic brand. Hosted by Managing Director Kelly Holland and featuring a VIP guest list of global broadcast executives, TV personalities and major media outlets, the private event will be held at the Majestic Barriere Hotel in Cannes, France on Tuesday, April 14.

The party will recreate the “Swinging '60s”, the era that launched Penthouse Magazine in good old London Town. In the spirit, old and new  guests have been encouraged to arrive in era-specific attire, including go-go boots, miniskirts and bell bottoms. Love beads will also be provided at the door for anyone who forgets their tie-dye t-shirts or pillbox hat. A pink carpet will lead guests to the Marta Ballroom complete with hosted bar, live dancers and a photo op, “In Bed with Penthouse.”

In addition, reveling in the rich history of Penthouse and its iconic founder, Bob Guccione, the party will also serve as the platform to announce the Penthouse Pet of the Year for 2015. Following the announcement, guests will have an opportunity to mingle with the lucky winner.

“Bob Guccione was a true visionary when he created Penthouse,” said Kelly Holland, Managing Director of Penthouse. “He perfectly captured and interpreted the desires of a nation at a time of change which served as the foundation to build the notoriety and success of the magazine.” Holland stated. “It’s an honor to continue to channel his spirit and ideologies through not only the magazine but our many other branded lines of business. This event is designed to celebrate his legacy and the influence he’s inspired in connection with men’s interests and lifestyle over the last five decades and our continuing evolution in the  decades to come.”

The private party is being produced by local event organizers DX-Events.

MIPTV attendees can also visit the Penthouse Entertainment booth on the show floor at #1, C76.
