AUBURN, Wash.—Peekay Inc. stores donated 5 cents for every condom sold during national condom week, Feb. 14-21, to various AIDS organizations.
Proceeds for Condom Week Donation in the state of Washington went to the Lifelong AIDS Alliance. In California, the drive benefited the AIDS Services Foundation Orange County.
Peekay Inc. is the parent company of 31 retail locations consisting of 20 Lovers stores in Washington, and seven A Touch of Romance and four ConRev stores in Southern California.
Phyllis Heppenstall, founder/COB of Peekay Inc., will present a check for $1,082.85 to Lynn Scherer, corporations and foundations manager of Lifelong AIDS Alliance in Washington. Also, in support of the Southern California community, Janet Blasquez, vice president of retail and marketing, and Cindy Talis, district manager, will present a check for $1,290.05 to Phil Yaeger, executive director of AIDS Services Foundation Orange County.
