Novelty Shop Robbed Twice in One Week

MACON, Ga.  - Gun-toting thieves robbed the X-Mart Adult Supercenter twice in one week, demanding cash from store clerks on Sunday, Nov. 9, and again on Nov. 14.

An assailant wearing a ski mask and wielding a shotgun charged the store Sunday around 5 p.m., and employees complied with his demands. After the second theft, which took place shortly after 3 p.m. on a Thursday, store employees followed the gunman and spotted him forcing his way into a  car. Later reports indicate that he forced his way into a second car shortly thereafter and then escaped on foot

Because eyewitness descriptions of the gunmen are similar, investigators are exploring the possibility that the two crimes are connected.. The thief is described as a light-skinned black male in his late teens to early 20s. He was wearing gloves, a black mask, a gray hooded sweat shirt, black jeans, and black and white tennis shoes.

Law enforcement requests anyone with information about either theft call the Bibb County Sheriff's Office at 478-746-9441 or Macon Regional CrimeStoppers at 877-68-CRIME.
