LAS VEGAS—As the twice-annual International Lingerie Show moved into day 2 at the convention center at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, retailers and wholesale buyers on the show floor were in search of the latest trends in the world of intimate apparel, adult toys and accessories. Here are some observations from the second day on the show floor.
Trigg Laboratories, parent company of Wet, has a new clitoral stimulation gel called Wow, which comes in two formulations, Gentle and Max. "It's water-based, not oil-based, so it's condom friendly," said Special Events Coordinator J.C. The relatively-new water-and-silicone hybrid Synergy lube is available in cooling and warming formulas, and "people mix them together," according to J.C.
Adventure Industries is releasing two of its original-formula herbal stimulants "by popular demand," according to the company's Brian Herbstman. The original Prolifta is available now, and the original formula Phuk will ship next week. The company will also be releasing its first nitrous oxide cartridges under the name Super Whip, "in the same format and quality as Super Rush," according to Herbstman. The company has also reformulated its Kratomite formula for "a better taste."
Baci Lingerie broke out a new sexy men's underwear line, Envy, and introduced new designs to its Dreams bedroom costume line. Also noteworthy is the addition of plus sizes to the company's White Label lingerie line and the Dreams costume line, with plans for more plus-size garments to come. "Pretty soon, all the SKUs will be available in every size," said Adella, Baci's director of marketing.
At the Entrenue booth, Spare Parts has two new strap-on harnesses, Joque and Theo, with pink fronts and pockets for bullet vibes built in. Velcro closures make them adjustable to all sizes and secure to the body. Two panty-styled harnesses are also new: the boy-shorts Tomboi and the more feminine Sasha, with bows and garters. They are available separately or in a starter kit with a Wet For Her insertable. Spare Parts also has a new hard-foam stabilizer that can give any dildo a base so it can be put in a harness.
Wet For Her continues its commitment to non-phallic insertables with the Toy 4, a new configuration of its finger extender with a bulb end that can be gripped by the wearer's vaginal muscles. From Big Teaze Toys comes VerSpanken, a new male masturbator that simulates a blowjob, with soft cylinders held in a hard plastic frame. Supplemental cylinders have different textures and are filled with different materials, and can be heated in a microwave or chilled in ice water to provide desired temperature. Swedish-based Toyfriend is a new line of silicone toys, in stylized shapes and bright neon colors. There are five "generations" of the toys, the latest being small pocket-sized vibrators with silicone tips.
At the Wicked booth, contract performer jessica drake was helping promote the new Wicked Sensual Care Collection of silicone and water-based lubes, plus a delay cream, a coconut-oil based masturbation cream, and a toy cleaner. "I'm here promoting my new signature Fleshlight, my 'Guide to Wicked Sex' videos and these personal products," drake said. "It all ties together."
"Success at the stores has been really good," Wicked VP of International Sales and Marketing Steve Velottes said. "Reorders have been great. A lot of it has to do with the sales program, with people going out and educating about the products."
Crystal Delights is offering handmade insertables in clear and colored borosilicate glass. "The color is melted into the glass, and the bases are real Swarovski crystals," Creative Director Shellie said. The styles are plug, screw-like Crystal Twist, the studded Pineapple Plug, and plugs with tails that are permanently attached, or snap on magnetically. Crystal Delights is distributed by Merci Toys, which is also the exclusive North American distributor for the Japanese Fairy Wand massager.
"We have the most powerful and complete series of wand massagers on the market," said Merci Toys' Hansen Hwang, indicating the layout of six Fairy Wands ranging from the 13.5-inch Fairy Wand to the 5.8-inch Fairy Pocket Mini. "They're all completely CE certified and have a one-year manufacturer's warranty. We are the only authorized Fairy Wand distributors in North America."
The International Lingerie Show will continue at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas through Wednesday. Admission is restricted to qualified retail participants.
