CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Sherri L. Shaulis, a journalism veteran, has been tapped as the new managing editor for AVN Novelty Business magazine.
A journalist and editor for more than 18 years, Shaulis formerly served as editor of AVN Online magazine and Web content manager for the company.
"I am very excited about this opportunity, though I realize I have some big shoes to fill," Shaulis said. "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in the adult industry, and look forward to taking AVN Novelty Business to the next level. Erica helped develop a quality product, and I hope to carry on that tradition."
A native of Ohio, Shaulis previously worked for various publications, including newspapers and entertainment websites, before joining AVN. She also taught in the journalism school at West Virginia University for a short time. She has written for several AVN websites and publications in her tenure with the company.
"Sherri's successful tenure with AVN and her affinity for this business make her a perfect fit for this position," ANB publisher Tony Lovett said. "She understands the needs of our readers as well as the changing direction in which this industry is heading."
ANB magazine, part of AVN Media Network, is the leading trade publication for adult novelty companies and retailers. It publishes cutting-edge features on the trends, people and products of this industry.
