New Erotica Magazine Taking Submissions

AUSTIN, Texas - A small group of Austintines has joined forces with a New Yorker in an effort to create a revolutionary, fun art-porn magazine, The Porn Project.

The Porn Project is described as an outlet for all types of free sexual expression by people of all genders and sexualities.

On Nov. 1, the collaborators released their first publication, Sex on the Run, which is available at select independent vendors in Austin, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland and Chicago. Subsequent publications are scheduled to be released quarterly.

The Porn Project co-founder and contributing author, Elizabeth Sparks, told AVN Novelty Business that the first issue featured content written primarily by the magazine's publishers.

"We would like to change that in our next issue by adding as much diversity as possible," she said. "We want to create an artistic space that is open to everyone, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, that allows free expression of all types of sexuality without the labels we are used to seeing on porn or erotica."

The theme for the second issue is "water." The Porn Project's publishers will take submissions for this issue through Wednesday, Dec. 5. Submissions of art, poetry, photography and feature stories between 1,000 and 2,000 words should relate to the theme of water. All submissions, regardless of theme, will be considered for future issues.
