Major Companies Launch New Lines at AVN Show

HOLLYWOOD, Fla.As the AVN Show ends its inaugural run, representatives from several pleasure products companies said they were very happy with the reception their new lines, products and brands received.

Eric Kalen, the driving force behind Tickler vibrators, said the launch of the brand Toyfriend, which covers the Tickler vibes, went very well, with people commenting positively on the ad campaign for the brand (“You never forget your first Toyfriend.”) as well as the new powerful vibes that were released.

The second generation of Tickler vibes are more powerful, Kalen noted, have larger in size to appeal to a different demographic.

“The original Tickler vibes are perfect for a first-time buyer,” he said. “And these new editions are for more serious users, or those looking for a little more power.”

The new vibes are almost double the size of the original line, and come in many of the same colors. The newest styles are the Bubbly Toyfriend, which has graduated bulbs at the top; the Nosy Toyfriend, on which the neck is extremely angled; the Seti Toyfriend, which resembles an open flower with the pistol designed for pinpoint stimulation; and the Coney Toyfriend, which truly resembles a rabbit head with ears that furiously vibrate.

LELO also made a splash at the AVN Show with the release of new items in the accessories line, as well as the debut of ONO, a sister brand to LELO.

Among the new accessories are the three scented Flickering Touch Massage Oils, which have 24K gold flakes.

“People have been asking us for years to come out with a massage oil, and we could have done it before this, but we always wanted to wait until we could do it right,” explained Donna Faro, director of sales for LELO.

The oils are satiny smooth and silky to the touch, making them perfect for sensual or therapeutic massage, she said. The oils, which come in a pump bottle with the signature LELO O on top, come in Balsam Fir & Bergamot, Spicy Clove & Amber, and Fresh Lily & Musk.

LELO also released three soy-based massage candles in the accessories line, available in Snow Pear & Cedarwood, Vanilla & Crème de Cacao, and Black Pepper & Pomegranate.

Also receiving a warm reception was the new ONO brand, which is a sister brand to LELO, Faro said.

“It’s a new line, and a completely different division,” she said.

Initially, the brand has four SKUs: The Cleao personal massager, available in purple, dark pink and orange; three scented shea butter-based candles; available in the Red mandarin, Lemongrass and French Vanilla scents; the Intimate Moisturizing Balm that is water-based; and the Massage and Bath Oil, which also are shea butter-based and come in the same scents as the candles.

“The Cleo is a wonderful piece because it’s not just a sexually-based massager, but an all-over body revitalizer,” Faro said.

The piece is crafted from medical-grade silicone, and has a removeable but strong suction-cup base that gives it the ability to rotate when in place on a flat surface. Two new shapes are already in the works and will be released soon, Faro said.
