Magic Silk, UNITE in Fashion Join Forces for Breast Cancer Fight

LONG ISLAND, N.Y.—You could feel the love at the Maritime Hotel in New York City thanks to Magic Silk’s participation in the Unite in Passion event on Feb. 14. Hosted by local nonprofit UNITE in Fashion and Maggie C Events, the event attracted hundreds of people who came out for a great party as well as a fashion show featuring styles from leading designers, including Magic Silk. A portion of the proceeds generated from the event were donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Magic Silk donated 500 red and black G-strings that were distributed to attendees. Online retailer ABCunderwear.com included a special offer for partygoers: a 10 percent discount plus 10 percent of their purchase of Magic Silk underwear would be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

“The UNITE in Passion fashion show was a fun-filled night; our garments and coupons were well received,” remarked Jessie Biele, director of marketing and public relations for Magic Silk and Male Power. “From the bottom of our hearts, we thank UNITE in Fashion for allowing us to participate in such a great event to raise awareness for breast cancer. We are looking forward to continuing our relationship with UNITE and working with them at future charitable events.”

UNITE in Fashion promotes awareness of various social issues through fundraising events based on the collaboration of art, music, and fashion. These creative events raise funds for well-known nonprofit organizations.
