Lovers Stores Donate Money from Condom Sales

AUBURN, Wash. - Lovers stores, a chain of adult retail boutiques in Washington, donated 5 cents from every condom sold during National Condom Week, Feb. 14-21, to Planned Parenthood of Great Northwest.

Phyllis Heppenstall, founder of Lovers' parent company Peekay Inc., recently presented a check for $1,230 to Lu Arendt, vice president of external affairs for the Planned Parenthood group.

"Lovers is proud to work with the local groups to continue consumer education and awareness," Heppenstall said. "We thank our employees, and our customers, for this great success."

Peekay owns 20 Lovers stores in Washington, and 12 A Touch of Romance and ConRev stores in Southern California.
