ATLANTA - Liberator Bedroom Adventure Gear products have been cast in a mainstream Hollywood movie.
Liberator's Wedge, Ramp and Whirl trio will appear in scenes in the upcoming Adam Sandler-written-and-produced romantic comedy, Born to be a Star. In addition, actresses portraying porn stars in the film will be attired in Liberator Lingerie and Liberator Latex. Male cast members, including lead Nick Swardson, will be outfitted in Liberator Latex.
In Born to be a Star, Swardson plays a small-town Midwestern nerd who, upon discovering his straight-laced parents were famous porn stars in the 1970s, heads to California to follow in their footsteps and pursue his destiny. Christina Ricci has been cast as the film's female lead, Swardson's naïve girlfriend. Tom Brady (The Hot Chick) has signed on to direct.
The Miles Deep Productions project is expected to begin shooting next month. The film will be released by one of Sony's imprints.
Born to be a Star is not the first mainstream Hollywood appearance for Liberator Bedroom Adventure Gear. The company's products also were featured in the George Clooney-Brad Pitt comedy Burn After Reading and the Ben Stiller comedy Meet the Fockers. Liberator products also will appear in the upcoming Philip Seymour Hoffman film, Jack Goes Boating.
