Lady C Leather on the Block

LAS VEGASLady C Leather, a leather and fetish store that has operated for more than 20 years in Las Vegas, is expected to close by the end of the year unless a buyer can be found.

Warren C. Moore Sr. and Julie Christine Floyd wrote an open letter to their vendors at the end of January, saying “due to age and health problems we have decided to put Lady C Leather on the market for sale.”

The lease for the store, located at 4037 W. Sahara Blvd., is up in September, but Moore and Floyd, the Lady C in the store’s name, have worked out an agreement with the landlord to continue operations through Dec. 31. The couple noted the landlord is willing to negotiate with any serious buyers to continue the lease.

“We will work with and teach the new people what we have learned over the years in the leather fetish industry,” the letter reads. “So many think they can just buy the merchandise and sell it, but we have outlived them all by being able to make our own products. You have to be willing to get your damn hands dirty.”

Moore and Floyd said they have purchased a home and plan to remain in the area.

“We have loved this business and the people we’ve met and dealt with and we haven’t stepped on or walked all over them no matter their mind-set or fetishes,” they wrote. “You accept them all day and they will love and respect you for it.”
