LOS ANGELES – The second annual LOVE LA Show is slated to take place Jan. 25, 2009, at the Music Box/Henry Fonda Theater. A handpicked crop of 45 designers and manufacturers such as Shunga, OhMiBod, Fun Factory, Tantus, and Sportsheets will showcase their wares, while a slate of educational seminars, fashion shows, and entertainment will dazzle attendees.
LOVE LA sets itself apart from other adult-themed events-this show is "free of pornography, harsh lighting, and a male-dominated crowd." Ian Denchasy, the event's creator, says, "We want visitors to explore their options with adult products, services, education, and lingerie in a sexy, pressure-free atmosphere." Last year, nearly 60 percent of attendees were women.
The couples-oriented event will also include upscale cuisine, an expanded educational lineup featuring luminaries like Nina Hartley, Jayme Waxman, and Regina Lynn, and a full bar. Plus, LOVE LA will generate funds for charity, donating a portion of its proceeds to benefit Children of the Night, a non-profit organization which rehabilitates young women living on the streets.
"LOVE LA continues to evolve into a destination in which women and couples, especially, can enhance virtually every facet of their sensual lives," says Denchasy.
Organizers anticipate that the one-day event will see approximately 4,000-5,000 attendees.
