Kink, Stockroom Negotiating Exclusive Line

Bondage site Kink and BDSM-specialty store Stockroom currently are discussing plans to create a Kink-branded line of apparel and toys to be sold on both companies' websites.

Stockroom currently manages the online stores on Kink's various fetish websites, and the company will work with Kink and newly acquired adult store Stormy Leather to create leather, latex, and fabric apparel under the Kink brand.

"The opportunities are endless in terms of working together," said Reena Patel, Kink's vice president of marketing. "We're going to see which items are best sellers and work with those to brand [for Kink]."

Known for its manufacturing of quality products, Stockroom also will work with Kink's art department to develop, design, and create a collection of props and tools used exclusively on the set at Kink's studio, located in the historical San Francisco Armory.

"Some are always requested [but] never had an avenue for sale before," Patel said. That way, she added, customers can purchase some of the items used on their favorite Kink sites, such as Kink's infamous, handmade Fucking Machines.

Patel also said that, with Stockroom's acquisition of San Francisco-based Stormy Leather, Kink will have better access to the kinds of products the company is known for using, since the two companies will be within blocks of each other.

"Kink is always committed to quality, but it's hard to find good products," Patel said. "Stockroom is real. They offer good quality at reasonable prices."
