Intimate Organics Offering Complete Range of ‘Healthy Lubes’

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.Intimate Organics now has a complete range of “healthy lubes”all paraben-free, DEA-free, menthol-free and made with USDA Certified Organic Extracts.

“The new lubes all fit in with our other products, in that we definitely steered clear of parabens and DEA, and used only certified organic extracts,” said Rebecca Powley, director of business development for Intimate Organics. “But they are similar enough to other products in our line that customers will be familiar with them.”

The new Defense lubricant is a protection lubricant, Powley said, that contains carrageean (sea kelp) and guava bark anti-bacterial extract. A recent study conducted by researchers from The National Cancer Institute (NCI) found that – in a test tube – carrageenan, as an ingredient, inhibits the infectious ability of viruses that cause cervical cancer and genital warts. The NCI findings, as reported in a peer-reviewed journal published by The Public Library of Science, are being studied for its potential impact in combating the spread of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).

Hydra is actually a new formulation of the popular Intimate Organics lubricant. Hydra is a plant-cellulose formula that is glycerine free. This is an everyday lube that a woman can use for vaginal dryness, fun with toys and of course good old sex.

“The new version is much better and more pure than ever,” Powley said.

Melt is a warming lubricant that contains cinnamomum zeylanicum bark extract. Unlike other warming lubricants that can contain menthol, which is an irritant, Melt’s unique formula warms the skin on contact through naturally derived glycerine and the bark extract.

Finally, Soothe completes the new line, and is the first and only natural antibacterial anal lubricant. For this unique formula, Intimate Organics uses natural guava bark extract, used for years as an antibacterial agent.

Each of the lubricants is available in 2-, 4- and 8-ounce bottles, and the Hydra is also available in a 4-ml foil pack.

“There are also new bottles for the line, which have more room and mean that customers can now see all the benefits of our products right away and more clearly,” Powley said. “But the packaging is similar enough that customers will know what they are getting.”

Entrenue is the first company to pick up all products in the line in the 2- and 4-ounce bottles, Powley said. Retailers interested in carrying the line can contact their local distributors and request they carry Intimate Organics.
