The AVN Novelty Expo is right around the corner and show organizers are busy working to ensure everything is in place for the industry's premier buyer-to-buyer event. The show, sponsored in part by California Exotic Novelties, Doc Johnson, Nasstoys, Pipedream Products, and Topco Sales, is scheduled to take place in Universal City, July 16-18, 2007.
Last year, the show brought more than 150 exhibitors together with 900-plus qualified volume buyers to network, market, and stay current on the industry's latest trends. This year's show will offer even more ways for manufacturers and buyers to interact and conduct business.
"There is no doubt that it will be a success this year," states ANE Director of Event Sales, Carolyn Wang.
This will be ANE's third year offering educational seminars as part of the expo's many opportunities to learn and network. "There was a very positive response to last year's seminar program," said Wang, "and that is why we decided to bring back the popular seminar series this year." ANB magazine is heavily involved in developing a seminar program to maximize each attendee's learning experience.
To ensure the success of the show, ANE show organizers are qualifying all buyers prior to show admittance; all attendees must be high-volume buyers of novelty products. The qualification process will be strictly adhered to, and attendees must present the necessary credentials to prove that they are qualified to attend the show.
Many returning exhibitors are exercising their right of 'first refusal' in order to reserve the same booth space they occupied last year. Remaining in the same location will allow returning buyers to more easily locate the manufacturers with whom they met in 2006. Show organizers have also welcomed a few newcomers this year, and are looking forward to watching those budding businesses bloom.
