Hustler Europe Party Deemed Too Hot for Switzerland

KREFOLD, Germany - Council members from the Berne City Council cancelled the Hustler Europe party set for this Saturday, June 28, at the Bernese Wankdorf-Club.

"We reject such events and the promotional posters in the city on principle and would obviously welcome it if the event were to be cancelled," said City Councilor Beat Gubser. "Legally to do so, however, would be very difficult."

Hustler Europe believes that just the mention of the name Hustler, in connection with a party, dancing models in the city, and posters, was enough to call for public support to cancel the event. Hustler Europe said that an invitation to Gubser and his wife has already been sent.

"I always thought that we Americans were the prudish ones," said a surprised Jeff Hawkins, CEO of Hustler Europe. "It is probably simply that Mr. Gubser has never personally visited a Hustler fashion party. I would warmly like to invite him to the party so that he can personally see with his own eyes what is happening, or more precisely, what is not happening," said Hawkins, who has a 30-year tenure with Hustler. This matter reminded him of the early days and struggles of legendary founder Larry Flynt.

"The party theme is not about sex, even though it is a sexy party night. The so-called ‘mainstream' products of the American entertainment giant in...adult entertainment are the focus," added Helen Clyne, managing director at Hustler Europe. "The Hustler fashion parties, which we have successfully been organizing since 2007 in Europe, are simply about giving visitors an exciting addition to a party and to present our apparel and lingerie collection. It is simply a party which concentrates on music and fashion from Hustler. Why should anyone find this offensive?"
