Honey's Gets a New Place

SAN FERNANDO, Calif. - Honey's Place, a comprehensive adult novelty distributor to retailers both large and small retailers as well as the home party market, has moved from Burbank to a 35,000-square-foot warehouse and office space in the San Fernando Valley. The location accommodates the company's current and predicted growth.

"The new location is a little more than double the size of our Burbank space," said Bonnie Feingold, president of Honey's Place. "We're experiencing growth and pursuing growth and bringing in new product lines to better accommodate our diverse customer base."

As part of that growth, Honey's launched a streamlined computer system and is implementing a new wholesale website so customers can place orders any time. The site is projected to be up and running "in the next few months."

Regarding the reasons for growth during an uncertain economic time, Feingold remarked, "We've experienced some growth, and our numbers have been pretty consistent this year. We carry small, unique lines so your store doesn't have to look like the one down the street; we have amazing customer service. We focus very much on that. You can make a mistake because you're human, but it's how you handle it. We have a family environment and treat our customers like they're a part of us. We're female-friendly, customer-oriented, and our sales people know their stuff. They can recommend inventory based on the area and demographic."

Feingold also noted that the company distributes to all types of retailers-lingerie stores, adult retailers, home party representatives, and "unique boutiques with unique products"-and they offer internet drop shipping.

Honey's Place, which started in Feingold's mother's bedroom in 1994, last doubled in size in 2003.
