As such, the company is releasing two new storage options: Separation Bags (today) and the Sneaky Sack (available wholesale Aug. 1). The products can be used together or separately.
The products aren't just about discretion, but part of HW's holistic approach to adult retailing. The storage options are meant to combat the problems the site's customers have reported with regard to sex toys "melting" into each other and concerns about storing novelties in homes where their presence is best kept under wraps.
The pretty, feminine Separation Bags come in three materials: sheer organza, a crushed silk-like material, and satin. Each has a drawstring closure. These bags can be used simply as storage in a drawer or with the Sneaky Sack.
"The Sneaky Sack is waterproof and made of anti-bacterial nylon and can be hung on a hanger. It has various pockets, can be zipped up, and locked. You can hang a sweater over it and no one will know it's there," founder and CEO Lisa Lawless told AVN Novelty Business. Launched on the site over a month ago, they are now available wholesale.
Because she was unable to find someone to sew these bags on the scale she was looking at in the U.S., Lawless is disappointed she may have to produce the bags out of the country. This concern is typical of the conscious approach to adult novelties that distinguishes Holistic Wisdom.
The company places a premium on education the consumer about novelty materials and the impact on the body, the chemistry of using and storing sex toys, sexual well-being, and other elements that contribute to a mind/body/soul experience of pleasure.
Lawless' background is as a mental health professional who began focusing on sexual matters and saw a great void in the kind of information she now is committed to providing on her retail site. "If we can't be the source [for well-researched information about adult novelties], we should shut down," she told ANB.
For example, the company has culled information from each manufacturer that they source from and found out what materials are in the toys they carry, how that toy was made, and consulted with independent chemists on what these materials are on how they impact the body. The information is found on a Sex Toy Material Guide on the site. "Consumers just don't have the time or the desire to do this level of research," Lawless told ANB.
