Good Vibrations Continues Green Streak With 'Earth Angel'

SAN FRANCISCO — Education-centric retailer Good Vibrations has introduced what it is touting as "the world's first-ever green technology sex toy," known as The Earth Angel.

Developed and designed by Ireland-based Caden Enterprises, the device houses its own patented power core, eliminating the need for replacement batteries.

Company spokesperson Dr. Carol Queen said, "Good Vibrations is pleased to be adding The Earth Angel to our already impressive collection of eco-friendly products. Sex is part of our lives, so any issue that concerns us out of the bedroom has implications inside it: if we recycle, buy local produce, watch out carbon use, and think ecologically in other ways, it makes sense to do the same when we make sexual choices. Our well-being and that of the earth are connected, so consider where you can go Ecorotic!"

Dead batteries contain heavy metals such as mercury, cadmium and lead, and if not disposed of correctly, these metals may leak when the battery corrodes, thus contributing to soil and water pollution and endangering wildlife. Increased levels of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide act to enhance the natural greenhouse effect and accelerate irreversible changes in the climate.

The Earth Angel adds to Good Vibrations' Ecorotic line of toys, launched for Earth Day 2009. For more on The Earth Angel and other Ecorotic toys, visit www.goodvibes.com.
