Good Vibrations Celebrates October With Partnership

SAN FRANCISCO—Good Vibrations, the legendary San Francisco-based company that takes pride in providing accurate information on sexuality and toys for grown-ups, is delighted to announce an exciting month of events, workshops, and its ongoing partnership with the National Breast Cancer Coalition as part of their corporate giving initiative, GiVe.

Every several months, Good Vibrations partners with a different nonprofit organization and encourages their customers to contribute directly to them at checkout. In September and October, Good Vibrations’ customers can show their support for the fight against breast cancer by making a financial gift to the National Breast Cancer Coalition at the time of their Good Vibrations purchase either online or in the stores.

Since 1991, the National Breast Cancer Coalition's trained advocates have lobbied at the national, state and local levels for public policies that impact breast cancer research, diagnosis and treatment. Their grassroots advocacy effort has hundreds of member organizations and tens of thousands of individual members working toward increased federal funding for breast cancer research and collaborating with the scientific community to implement new models of research, improving access to high-quality health care and breast cancer clinical trials for all women, and expanding the influence of breast cancer advocates in all aspects of the breast cancer decision making process.

For more than 30 years Good Vibrations has partnered with hundreds of local and national nonprofit organizations. By donating products, advertising and sponsorship for fundraisers, along with a percentage of retail sales, the company has provided much needed support for women’s shelters, HIV/AIDS research, art programs, LGBT benefits, sexuality education, disaster relief and much more.

Staff Sexologist Dr. Carol Queen said, "We're especially excited that this organization's terrific work includes advocacy training so that women themselves be such a powerful influence for fighting breast cancer. Just as Good Vibrations' focus has always been empowering women to be the true experts about their own sexuality, NBCC makes sure women's voices and experience are central to this critical health issue."

In addition to the partnership with NBCC, Good Vibrations is hosting several workshops and events throughout October. For details on paid educational workshops, visit Events.GoodVibes.com.
