Good Vibrations Announces Support of American Red Cross

SAN FRANCISCOGood Vibrations, the legendary San Francisco-based retailer, has announced its new corporate giving initiative, GiVe, and partnership with the American Red Cross to help bring relief to Haiti disaster victims.

For more than 30 years, Good Vibrations has partnered with hundreds of local and national nonprofit organizations. By donating products, advertising and sponsorship for fundraisers, as well as a percentage of retail sales, the company has provided much-needed support for women’s shelters, HIV/AIDS research, art programs, LGBT benefits, Breast Cancer awareness and much more.

Now, Good Vibrations’ customers can show their support for the victims of the Haiti earthquake and thousands of other disasters across the country each year by making a financial gift to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund at Good Vibrations check-out counters and on GoodVibes.com. The American Red Cross provides shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need.

“For over three decades Good Vibrations has been giving back to the community and actively participated in various causes,” said Good Vibrations COO Jackie Strano. “Our GiVe campaign(s) are a way for us to formally mobilize our creativity, enthusiasm and energies toward causes we believe in. We are proud to partner with the Red Cross during this time of crisis and help those in desperate need of relief.”

Good Vibrations strives to be an agent for social change, through the lenses of sexuality, diversity and alternative business practices. Both within their organization and throughout the communities they serve, Good Vibrations is committed to fostering respect, promoting supportive communication, providing access to educational resources and strongly advocating for women in leadership roles.

Each quarter, Good Vibrations will partner with a different nonprofit organization and encourage their customers to contribute directly to them at check-out. To learn more about Good Vibrations’ GiVe program and to see this year’s beneficiaries, visit GoodVibes.com or contact Camilla Lombard at (415) 974-8985, ext. 201, or email [email protected].
