STOCKHOLM - At a suggested retail price of $10,500, LELO's new Inez vibrator isn't for everyone - but it isn't intended to be. Inez is intended as the ultimate intimate gift, aimed at the highest of high-end adult novelty buyers.
"It's for people who put no price on pleasure," LELO Communications and Public Relations Manager Sophia Nystrand told AVN Novelty Business. The target market is "men and women with interest in design, fashion and unique objects."
Handcrafted with a seductive exterior of either 18K gold plate or stainless steel ($7,900), Inez is one of the most exclusive vibrators ever made and "a pleasure object that exudes luxury," Nystrand said. Five pre-programmed stimulation modes, a virtually silent vibrator engine and a petite frame measuring only six inches long make the vibe's sleek curves discreet and alluring.
"The basic idea was to create a high-end luxurious line, like the fashion brands do with the haute couture collections," Nystrand said of Inez and her siblings in LELO's Luxe line, which also includes a men's plug named Earl, a clitoral massager named Yva and a dildo named Olga.
All items in the line come in both gold plate and stainless steel, with prices ranging from $390 to $1,500 (exclusive of Inez, which represents the upper end in both design and price). All are rechargeable for up to four hours of uninterrupted fun, and all are presented in elegant wooden gift boxes, accessorized with a satin pouch and a universal charger.
Inez and her siblings will be produced in smaller editions than LELO's other lines, due to both cost and exclusivity factors, Nystrand said. However, she noted, the vibe is a "perfect morning gift for a new bride or when celebrating a wedding anniversary."
The Luxe line is available directly from LELO and soon will appear in high-end retail establishments like Coco de Mer and Kiki de Montparnasse.
