BORAS, Sweden - A former prison inmate has been fined $300 for sexual molestation for allegedly sending wooden penises to women at the facility where he served time.
The man, 58, allegedly left packages at the front desk of the Smälteryd correctional facility in Boras. The packages were addressed to female employees.
The packages reportedly contained hand-carved wooden penises and a note saying the man hoped that the gifts would be put to "good use." The staff members reported the matter to police.
In court, the man's lawyer argued that "in today's society, wooden sticks and letters cannot be considered morally objectionable."
