Fleshlight Reaches 2 Million Units

AUSTIN, Texas - ILF Inc., the exclusive manufacturers and marketers of the Fleshlight sex toy for men, announced that it has sold its 2 millionth unit of the popular item.

"At a moment like this, we are grateful to all of our customers, and all of the people who have made our product into what it has become today," said CEO Steve Shubin. "To see something that began as a mission to help men find a safe and pleasurable outlet for self-gratification transform into an international phenomenon is truly something special."

The Fleshlight made its debut 10 years ago, and at the time was only available through retailers. The design was the brainchild of Shubin, who went looking for similar devices when his wife was pregnant with twins and told to abstain from sex. Unable to find something that truly imitated the feeling of vaginal sex, he created his own item.

The Fleshlight is completely manufactured completely in the U.S.

Now, just a decade later, the company is rolling back prices on its original smooth texture Fleshlight to celebrate the 2 million mark.

Chris Marcus, vice president of marketing and business development, said company officials noticed about three weeks ago the milestone was approaching, and made the decision to sell the original Fleshlight at its debut price of $49.95 throughout the month of May.

"I don't think anyone could have predicted that it would get this far," Marcus said of the item's accomplishment. "But then again, why wouldn't it?"

Marcus said the retro price will allow fans of other Fleshlight products to try the one that started it all, and allow those who have never experienced the item to buy and try.

"It's a good opportunity for people to get back to the one that started it all," Marcus said. "We have to credit the vision of this whole project not only to the owner and inventor, but also to the loyal customers and fans."
