PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The New England Leather Alliance held its Fetish Fair Flea Market last weekend at the Rhode Island Convention Center.
Among the companies that set up shop at the event were njoy toys, For Your Nymphomation and Athena's.
"The fetish fair has a national reach, and many people from across the country travel to the annual winter event," Craig Jolicoeur of Athena's told AVN Novelty Business. "There is an outstanding array of product offerings and educational forums. We attracted many consumers in our target market, as well as some more nontraditional customers for our business. This event breaks down walls every year."
Njoy toys took a more educational approach to the flea market.
"We staffed our booths with personnel who are well educated in general sexuality and sexual health, as well as areas of kink and BDSM," said Greg DeLong. "We never try to sell product, per se, but rather educate potential customers about how our products can benefit both their vanilla and kinky sexual lives."
For Your Nymphomation introduced the Rolling Toy Trunk and Flogger Trunk and received several orders.
"We limited the collection to the stronger-selling items and highlighted the cases that have been traditionally selling well at the fetish fleas," said company owner Vera Worthington.
The Fetish Fair Flea Market was deemed an overall success by companies that cater to BDSM needs.
