Exotic Erotic Ball Celebrates Three Decades of Decadence

SAN FRANCISCO—Sexy costumes, funny costumes, even nonexistent costumes were all on parade during the 30th anniversary of the Exotic Erotic Ball, which took place Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. The annual event, traditionally scheduled the weekend before Halloween, is designed to honor all things associated with flesh, fetish and fantasy.

Thousands of attendees browsed booths in the Exotic Erotic Expo, which was held in conjunction with the Ball, and enjoyed live entertainment provided by Coolio, the Super Geek League, Missing Persons and other performers. Highlights included the Mr. and Ms. Erotica contests, co-hosted by Exotic Erotic regular Danny Bonaduce and fetish model Ancilla Tilia.

This year’s Exotic Erotic Ball celebrated three decades of kink, and participants didn’t disappoint. Costumes featuring everything from naughty nurses and schoolgirls to a giant rabbit-style vibrator (which took home the grand prize for the annual costume contest) were on display, giving guests plenty to gawk at, photograph and, in some cases, even help remove.

Devices like AEBN’s Real Touch, a haptic technology device that simulates the moisture, actions and temperature of sex, were prominently displayed in the Expo area, and attendees mingled in the halls and in areas like the VIP Lounge to enjoy all the Expo and Ball had to offer. Stages were covered with fetish displays, musical acts, orgasm contests and more. DJs provided the soundtrack for couples and singles to bump and grind on the dance floors, and the main stage was the spot for numerous contests and vaudeville/burlesque-style acts.

The party raged on nonstop until the wee hours of the morning, and truly proved that turning “XXX” is pure fun … and fantasy.
