CANOGA PARK, Calif. - Newly minted manufacturer Evolved Novelties took home the 2008 eLINE AWARD as the "Best Toy Collection - International" at the 12th annual Venus Berlin fair last Friday.
"The award is something that came as a complete shock," admitted Gregg Alan, co-founder of Evolved Novelties, adding the show experience as an exhibitor was equally as enjoyable as the honors. "The people of Europe have really embraced us. It was great to see some old friends as well as forge some new relationships."
As far as the early success for a company that officially began business this summer, Alan hinted that his product line, complemented by a striking packaging scheme, is the reason for such a quick response from customers, retailers, and distributors.
"We knew that our product was being well received-but really had no idea how much of an impact we're making in the European market. Needless to say, it's something that we're extremely proud of."
