Eva From Dame Products Getting Mainstream Press

BROOKLYN, N.Y.—One of the latest sex toys to be funded through Indeigogo.com is already getting attention in mainstream press, even though the manufacturers are still taking pre-orders only.

The Eva vibrator from Dame Products, a Brooklyn-based company founded by women who want to design well-engineered sex toys to heighten intimacy and openly empower the experiences of womankind, was highlighted in a recent article in Wired magazine, alongside the likes of Jimmyjane’s Hello Touch X and several items from Adam & Eve’s catalog. The Eva and the Hello Touch X were named “revolutionary new sex toys.” The article is part of the magazine’s Sex Issue.

Eva is the first product from Dame Production, and was funded through an Indiegogo.com campaign late last year. The campaign was 1,151 percent funded on Dec. 5 and received $692,858 in pledges.

Dame Products CEO Alexandra Fine said the Eva is “the first hands-free, strap-free, non-intrusive couples’ vibrator.”

Eva is a hands-free vibe that provides women clitoral stimulation during intercourse. Two flexible “arms” on either side of the Eva tuck under a woman’s labia majora to hold the lay-on style vibe in place. Eva boasts three speeds and a one-touch power button that takes the vibrator through its functions. Eva is covered in silicone, is water resistant and USB rechargeable.

“We create toys that fit into your sex life, instead of making your sex life adapt to our products,” company officials said in a release. “Our process is consumer centric, meaning we spend a lot of time talking to women and sex therapists so we can engineer vibrators that fit the multitude of sexual needs. We believe that vibrators can be a tool for empowering women and strengthening couples through exploration and sexual agency.”

Eva is initially available in lavender and teal, and is available for pre-order for $105 through DameProducts.com.
