BROOMFIELD, Colo. – The spirit of giving is alive and well at Eldorado Trading Company. The novelty distributor collected food for the Food Bank of Boulder and Broomfield Counties Community Food Share, contributing to the lives of some 40,000 residents.
Eldorado raised more than 4,088 pounds of food in just one month. According to the charities, each pound of food equals a meal for a hungry family.
"Everybody here at Eldorado was excited to participate and we were happy to be able to collect so much food," says Larry Garland, Eldorado's owner and CEO. "Helping each other out when times are tough is what being part of a community is all about."
