Edmund Price 'Bottoms Up' This Fall

SAN FRANCISCO - Artist and sculptor Edmund Price is wrapping up the design process of his new, masculine refrigerator magnets, which complement his existing line of figurines. Price told AVN Novelty Business the line has slowly been gaining momentum since it was released at the end of 2007 and was made based on consumer requests.

"The figurines came first, and then I developed the magnets because everyone has a refrigerator," he explained. "But I was hearing that some people who loved the figurines just didn't have the shelf space in their homes to display them properly."

Price developed the line after having a brainstorm one sleepless night.

"When you can't sleep, your mind just wanders," he continued. "The idea for the figurines started this way, and the next morning I began sculpting the prototypes. They're the body parts I like the best on a man. I enjoy the look of a tight pair of jeans, cowboys in chaps, leathermen, and guys who wear costumes. I am a detail-oriented person and spend a great deal of time perfecting and emphasizing the details of each piece."

Price told ANB each sculpture is modeled after a live person, giving each piece a uniqueness and lifelike appearance.

"Working with the models was a great experience," he said. "I found the men who posed for me through friends, and each piece represents the models individual energy, attitude, and look they presented."

Bottoms Up figurines are currently being sold in select stores, and Price is looking for distribution so the line can reach even more consumers.

The magnets are currently in production and should begin shipping by this October.
