NEW YORK—EdenFantasys is bringing April Flores, Carlos Batts and 20 adorned replicas of April’s vagina to New York City and Philadelphia for two nights of art, film and music.
The New York City event is Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Museum of Sex. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and admission is $10.
The Philadelphia event is Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Painted Bride Art Center. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and admission is $10.
The art show debuted this past May in Hollywood with eight pieces by world-renowned artists. A stop in San Francisco this past month added another four pieces. For the East Coast shows, the exhibit has grown to 20 pieces. EdenFantasys is debuting eight new works—four from NYC artists and four from Philly artists.
Curated by Carlos Batts, the new shows will feature the following artists: Coop, George Pitts, KozynDan, Erika Keck, Molly Crabapple, Mo Moussa, Eli Livingston, Small Paul, Jim Mahfood, Eric Eaton, Misha, Kime Buzzelli, Carlos Batts, Zak Smith, Dr. Carol Queen/Robert Lawrence, Brian Donnelly, Stephen Kasner, Axis, JoKa and Joy Lessposh.
April Flores and Carlos Batts will attend both events.
Screenings of Carlos Batts’ films Voluptuous Biker Babes (its East Coast premiere), Young Hollywood and Kiss Attack will be shown each night. EdenFantasys has coordinated benefit raffles with toy baskets sponsored by Topco Sales; all funds raised will go to local organizations: ASC NYC and Sex Work Awareness in New York, and the William Way Community Center in Philadelphia.
Live music is slated for Philadelphia, with appearances by the bands Clamfight and Bitchslicer. There will be alcohol served at both events—with an open bar for the first two hours each night.
