Dreamgirl Switches to iVendix

LOS ANGELES - Lingerie manufacturer Dreamgirl International has announced that it will begin using CenterStone Technologies' iVendix software on Sept. 30 to offer business-to-business (B2B) online ordering.

The iVendix application will provide online ordering for Dreamgirl's 5,000-plus retail dealers and sales representatives, who will be able to view catalogs, check product availability, place orders and track order status via the Web.

"In order to continue to provide a superior level of customer service in today's business environment, we felt that Dreamgirl needed a proven solution that would be quickly adopted by our specialty retailer," Dreamgirl CEO Christopher Scharff told AVN Novelty Business magazine. "CenterStone's iVendix solution has rapidly become the industry standard for B2B solutions. And because this new solution is Internet-enabled and available 24/7, our dealers will be able to spend more time during the day on their shop floors with their customers and still be able to conduct business with Dreamgirl after normal retail hours."

Scharff said the company will be the first lingerie manufacturer to adopt iVendix, which

will go live Sept. 30 at DreamgirlDirect.com.

CenterStone Technologies CEO Tom Detmer predicted that adopting iVendix will increase business for Dreamgirl.

"Dreamgirl understands the importance of the specialty-retail distribution channel to the building of a world-class consumer brand," he said. "When a vendor is easier for specialty retailers to do business with-as Dreamgirl will now be with the CenterStone B2B solution-retailers transact more business with these vendors."

Detmer said CenterStone's most recent retail-survey results show that 54 percent of retailers spend more with vendors who have online-ordering systems like iVendix and spend an average of 13 percent more with those vendors.

"Our iVendix solution delivers a large and extensive user community that is continuing to grow at a very rapid pace," he said. "It is the adoption rate by this user community that will drive the [return on investment] for Dreamgirl and will help them continue to grow their brand in the specialty-retail channel."
