LOS ANGELES - Dreamgirl International has promoted Eric Ehrens from national sales manager for the costume division to president of domestic sales.
In his new role, the 15-year Dreamgirl veteran will oversee all domestic sales activity and manage the customer service team.
"My goal is to increase sales and to make more profit for the company by being more efficient from within," he said. "Our goal is to increase our volume to $50 million over the next two years."
Ehrens said this will be achieved through increasing Dreamgirl's fast-growing lingerie and costume divisions by $15 million over the next 24 months.
"Lingerie made up for half of our business last year, and we should be growing again," he added. "Most of our growth is in the Diamond Box Collection, and we are expecting that to increase up to 1 million units in annual sales."
Dreamgirl International has increased its sales tenfold in the past four years, with revenue growth exceeding 40 percent in the 2007 fiscal year. The manufacturer started 2008 with double-digit growth in net sales and credits the growth to supply-chain improvements that enable the company to introduce more products and ship them faster.
One of the improvements Dreamgirl has made is its new real time online inventory management software, where retailers can log on to check actual inventory levels as well as track or place orders.
Christopher Scharff, CEO of Dreamgirl said the company continues to execute its business plan across all product categories and in all markets.
"I am extremely proud of our management, employees, sale representatives, distributors and vendor partners for their dedication and hard work in pursuit of our goals and vision," he said. "We look forward to an exciting second half of 2008!"
Retailers are invited to log in at DGorders.com to utilize the new state-of-the-art B2B online internet platform made available by Centerstone Technologies.
