Dreamgirl Offers Silver-Anniversary Initiatives

LOS ANGELES - Lingerie manufacturer Dreamgirl International is offering initiatives for customers in celebration of its silver anniversary.

Beginning this month, Dreamgirl will offer discounts, promotions and free-freight opportunities to thank its longtime customers, according to CEO Christopher C. Scharff.

"We want to thank our customers for their support and loyalty the past quarter-century," he said.

In the four years since Scharff replaced founder Patricia A. Fischer-after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer-Dreamgirl has expanded its product offerings and increased its sales tenfold. The manufacturer also has doubled its number of sales representatives, increased its U.S. distribution to more than 3,000 retail accounts and expanded operations into 22 countries.

Scharff said Dreamgirl International will make further improvements to its supply chain and distribution in 2008 by increasing its Asian factory base and upgrading its Los Angeles warehouse and logistics center.

Dreamgirl International recently launched DGOrders.com, a website specifically designed for its retail accounts. The site uses Centerstone technology to allow customers to look up current and future inventory, place orders and track shipments.
