LOS ANGELES - Having unveiled its fall collections, Dreamgirl International now is shipping the latest styles to retailers in time for the holiday season.
Originally launched in Paris, France, the collections include the 2007/2008 Fall/Holiday/Valentines Lingerie Collection, the 2007 Dance & Clubwear Collection, the Fall/Holiday Contemporary Corsets Collection, the 2007 Costume Collection and the 2007/2008 Gift Diamond Collection.
The Gift Diamond Collection, which is based on Dreamgirl's best-selling Red Diamond lingerie line and features a multifaceted box capped with a red diamond, has become one of the most successful lines, according to CEO Christopher C. Scharff.
"The styling of this line is perfect for Internet, catalog and mail-order selling because there are fewer sizing issues, as these styles are One Size Fits Most and now One Size Fits Most Queen," he said. "Each box contains front and back views of each style and has a clear window, so that consumers can see the interior product contents of each box."
The 2007/2008 Fall/Holiday/Valentines Lingerie Collection is twice as big as it was the previous year, Scharff said, adding that the collection's shipping began in August.
"The line opened to overwhelming buyer response in Europe," he said. "We have more than doubled the size of the line in one year because of the enthusiastic reception which we have received from buyers across the continent who are looking for the latest and most innovative fabrications used by Dreamgirl's team of designers."
Highlights of the line include the Paris Romance Stretch Lace & Mesh removable brooch, the stretch lace Queen's Court featuring pearl strands and pleated chiffon, and the Holiday Fetish soft two-piece made with faux red fur.
Beginning Monday, Dreamgirl's website (DreamgirlDirect.com) will use the iVendix software program, which allows users to place and track orders, and check inventory levels online. For more information on the new online-ordering system, click here.
