Dreamgirl Announces 2009/2010 Catalogue Release

LOS ANGELES - Dreamgirl International, a manufacturer of intimate apparel, has announced the December 2008 release of its 2009/2010 Collection Catalogue. The volume will feature new lines, updated packaging and a unique addition to its Red Diamond collection.

In an effort to fill what the company has deemed "a need in the industry for a 'natural union' between two segments", Dreamgirl designers Sara Wagabaza, Amanda Wasvary and Donna Lackmeyer jumped at the first sight of a great new category - a collection of babydoll and vibrator sets.

"The one new launch that already is drawing the biggest buzz among buyers, reps and the press is the introduction of vibrators as accessories with particular styles in our Red Diamond Collection," explained Lar Hovsepian, marketing manager. "With our seven brand new SKUs of styles featuring vibrators, we're testing the waters."

One of Hovsepian's favorites, "Southern Vibes," Style 5590 and 5591X, comes in "one size fits most" and "one size fits most queen."

"This style is equivalent to the quintessential classic black dress," Hovsepian said. "It is a classy babydoll silhouette in a sheer black Lycra net fabric with satin bow and rhinestone accents. It comes with a matching thong, and of course, a classic pocket-sized jeweled black vibrator that is both purse and boyfriend friendly."

Their second style is called "Flutterby," Style 5591 and 5591X, is a very feminine strapless pink mesh babydoll with a sequined butterfly appliqué that comes with a matching open crotch thong and battery-operated silicon butterfly vibrator which can be worn on the finger like a ring. Finally, they have the group called "Good as Gold," Style 5671 and 5671X, which features a pink and black Stretch Mesh open cup halter babydoll and matching open crotch babydoll, and Style 5672, which is a pink and black stretch mesh open cup halter teddie with satin bow trim. Both styles include a battery-operated gold vibrator.

Other catalogue items include the Aqua Diamond, a contemporary swimwear line that features classic Brazilian and thong silhouettes in a range of colors, prints, and sheer fabrics; a new Diamond line for the exotic dancer, which will feature a larger-sized Diamond box to accommodate a range of great quality dancewear including gowns; and a sleek new line of thong packages for their collection of "unmentionables."

Dreamgirl created these new lines with the intention of providing adult store owners an opportunity to boost their sales with innovative products, offering retailers the edge they have been looking for in this dreadful economy: a secondary source of revenue.

With an annual average growth rate of 2.9 percent and reaching nearly $14 billion in 2007, the domestic lingerie sales statistics are truly telling of a growing segment that can be capitalized in adult stores where sales may be declining.
