LOS ANGELES - Legendary adult erotica emporium, Drake's USA has decided to close its Melrose Avenue location. General Manager Ray Alustiza released the following official statement to AVN Novelty Business magazine on the decision to relocate:
"Although it is bittersweet and sad, it is also a time for new beginnings. During the past year we have been busy re-building Drake's starting with the Melrose store as many of you are aware it was a disaster when we took over. I am pleased to say we were successful in the remodel giving the store a new look to brand going forward....this is our goal."

Hollywood location remains open and stands ready to fill the void.
The look we created for Melrose is being
transferred to West Hollywood which will enhance the West
Hollywood location and provide a positive shopping experience. In
making this decision we felt that by remaining in West Hollywood we will be
able to service the community that has supported us over the years."

to the future and make West Hollywood our base."
