Drake’s Opens Bondage Ball Ticket Sales

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Tickets for the 2007 Bondage Ball now are on sale exclusively at the Drake's Erotica Emporium store at 7566 Melrose Ave.

Drake's Public Relations Manager Mandi Moss recommended buying advance tickets.

"A lot of people come to this show every year, so I recommend getting tickets at Drake's ahead of time [while tickets are sure to be available]," she told AVN Novelty Business. "You'll also save the service charge of buying the tickets online or at the door."

Advance tickets cost $25, and ticket buyers will receive a same-day 15 percent discount on the store's merchandise.

Red-carpet arrivals for the Bondage Ball are set to begin at 9 p.m. Oct. 31, and the event will continue until 3 a.m. at the Hendry Fonda Theatre, 6126 Hollywood Blvd.

As a sponsor of the ball, Moss said, Drake's will provide 500 gift bags that will be handed out at the end of the night. Earlier this month, eXtreme Restraints announced its sponsorship; the company will "delight and terrify" attendees with its Island of Punishment, according to event producer Matthew Grim.

"Demonstrated on the island will be the Vacbed," he said. "[It is] a bondage device that traps victims between layers of latex."

Additionally, eXtreme Restraints will demonstrate its Punishment Bench and hold a raffle for one of each item at the end of the ball.

BDSM video-production company Dungeon Corp. will take over the rooftop VIP lounge, transforming the space into a "decadent palace of pleasure and submission," Grim said.

"Dungeon Corp will entertain in the VIP area and on the main stage in the Grand Ballroom," he said. "This is a night to dress to impress, party and play. My partner Courtney and I put our heart and soul into making Bondage Ball the most incredible and sensual experience on Halloween night. Nothing compares to what we have to offer."

Grim also encourages attendees to visit the Shrine booth, where the local gothic boutique will display some of its favorite creations.
