CHINO, Calif. - California Exotic Novelties' Intimate Basics line of products inspired by Dr. Laura Berman, a leading expert in female sexual health, will hit the market Friday with new, more basic packaging.
The popular product line's packaging underwent a complete metamorphosis at the request of retailers and distributors, according to Director of Marketing Al Bloom.
"The genesis of the packaging actually came from our customers," he said. "The Berman line, with its unique and discreet packaging, has been extremely popular since its inception. Additionally, Dr. Berman gives specific instructions on how to use each item, which makes this line so unique. As a result, more and more retailers wanted to prominently display the products and asked us to create a line in clamshells, which could be prominently displayed on the retail level."
As the line's packaging became more basic, Bloom said, Cal Exotics decided to extend the simplicity to the products themselves.
"We decided to create very basic shapes, albeit with powerful and state-of-the-art capabilities, but basic and non-intimidating in design," he said.
Dr. Berman's Intimate Basics line consists of the Mimi Vibrating Micro Bullet, a Rubber Cote bullet designed for pinpoint stimulation; the Lila Vibrating Bullet, which has an ergonomically curved, non-slip battery pack; and the Lola G-spot Massager, Jasmine Domed Massager, Paris Ribbed G-spotter and Siena Slimline Massager, which are waterproof, multispeed massagers.
