SAN FRANCISCO—Diamond Products, parent company of pleasure product giant Pipedream Products, has made its third acquisition, adding Sir Richard's Condom Company to its family of brands. Diamond Products is also the parent company of Jimmyjane, creators of design-forward high-end pleasure toys. Together, the three Diamond Products brands encompass a wide swath of territory in the sexual health and intimacy field.
Since its inception, in 2009, Sir Richard's has shaken up the condom industry by creating premium vegan condoms and removing the harsh chemicals—such as parabens, glycerin, and spermicide—found in many common condom brands. Sir Richard's also promotes sexual health and donating to global communities in need with the company's "Buy One Give One" policy.
"Sir Richard's Condom Company demonstrates the power of a good brand. They have been able to penetrate a robust industry with innovation, and also lead by example, showing how companies can leverage sales and growth to impact global humanitarian efforts," said Robert Rheaume, president of Jimmyjane, "We are proud to align with them under the Diamond family and grateful to Nick Orlandino, chairman of Diamond Products, for all of his work to make this deal happen, and his continued efforts to elevate the category of pleasure."
Following its socially conscious mission statement that "doing good never felt better," Sir Richard's Condom Company has teamed up with Partners in Health and donated more than 3 million condoms to international communities in need. Their PETA-approved, vegan-certified latex condoms can be found in Whole Foods and other natural grocery stores as well as leading major drugstore chains nationwide.
Sir Richard's Condom Company will be co-exhibiting at ANME as part of the Jimmyjane booth in the Academy Ballroom (booth #38-39). Jimmyjane will dedicate a section of its space to display Sir Richard's entire line of prophylactics. Attendees at the show can stop by the space to meet the Sir Richard's team and learn more about the brand ethos and product line.
This is not the first time the two companies have been presented side-by-side. Both Sir Richard's and Jimmyjane have a long history of partnering together on cross promotions and events since Sir Richard's was first introduced in 2009.
"Jimmyjane has become known for our collaborations and partnerships with like-minded creative and brands. We see a lot of synergy between Sir Richard's and Jimmyjane. The two brands have taken a similar approach to two different aspects of sexuality. Sir Richard's has changed how the consumer thinks about their category. Their use of innovation, education and their dedication to the global community is very much aligned with how we approach our business at Jimmyjane," stated Robert Rheaume, President of Jimmyjane.
"We are ecstatic to be showing at ANME this year, and to be hosted by Jimmyjane in their new special space. Jimmyjane's modern approach to pleasure is very similar to our own, and we look forward to connecting with the industry, and a fun show together," commented Tracey Forster, CEO of Sir Richard's Condom Company.
Sir Richard's will be on display as part of a dedicated space in a new, completely redesigned Jimmyjane booth. The newly located booth can be found in the Academy Ballroom (booth #38-39). Both Jimmyjane and Sir Richard's encourage all customers to stop by to meet with both brands, see the latest product releases, and discuss ongoing and future partnerships.
