WATFORD, England – Halloween isn't a spooky holiday only on this side of the Atlantic. Bedroom Pleasures, an English online retailer, is riding the crest of the U.K.'s burgeoning interest in October 31. The company reports a massive increase in the number of costumes, Halloween accessories, and lingerie being sold this year.
"Our Halloween lingerie-related sales have more than doubled from last year," says Rob Stevenson from Bedroom Pleasures. "It just seems to be growing and growing." To accommodate the unprecedented demand, the retailer has added an expanded range of costumes and accessories to its stock.
In addition to costumes from labels like Dreamgirl and Allure Leather, Stevenson notes two other items selling well-Cuff in the Dark, a set of glow-in-the-dark handcuffs, and Funky Bondage Tape, a colored film that clings to itself. Bedroom Pleasures is extending an additional incentive to customers looking for costumes by offering a 10% discount on future orders.
