Coquette International Prepares to Launch Penthouse 2009

CAMBRIDGE, Ontario - Coquette International is putting the final touches on its new Penthouse 2009 Collection, which the company describes as a modern twist on classic outfits, patterns, and ideas.

The 2009 lineup will consist of the Sweet Pet, Wilde Pet, Naughty Pet, and Sexy Pet segments, all of which are inspired by traditional 1950s pinup style.

"We are looking forward to the new Penthouse line," head designer Elaine Carson told AVN Novelty Business. "The collection is very different from our past styles and is definitely going to spark some positive attention."

Among the line's four categories, there is at least one segment to please every woman who slips into the outfits, Carson said.

Sweet Pet, which features cupcake prints and bright aqua and pink colors, is designed to be fun, cute, and girly. Wild Pet uses red leopard prints and black "wet look" materials to attract "the wild child while projecting a more femme, risqué, and slightly edgy look," according to Coquette.

Pink and red heart tattoos and black denim fabrics characterize the Naughty Pet segment, which will be marketed to punk-rocker ladies with a slightly harder touch. The Sexy Pet segment features cherry prints with black Lycra and is described as having the most "classic Betty Page ‘50s pinup" theme of the collection.

"Right down to the boxes for each ensemble, this year's Penthouse collection is certainly in the running for deliciously cute to sinfully sexy," Carson said. "We're keeping busy with photo shoots for the catalog, and our design team is hard at work on organizing all of the latest creations."
