Condom Lets Men Measure Up

MADRID - "Measuring up" has a whole new meaning. The Condometric is a condom marked with measurements, promising to put a stop to bedroom exaggerations.

Not merely a novelty but a condom that meets Europe's standards for safety and hygiene, the Condometric, manufactured by Curiosite, extends to 9.8 inches or 25 centimeters. (It's offered in either metric or imperial systems.) Flavored varieties are available in lime, cherry, and banana. Using technology that binds the measurements into the fiber of the condom, there is no ink to smear or irritate users.

While the inventors are very tongue-in-cheek about the whole matter, an anonymous tester reported a disheartening experience to British tabloid The Sun: "My girlfriend and some of her friends were testing out Curiosite's Condometric prototype and they met up one day to compare results. This isn't funny."

Curiosite would caution the guy in question to relax: According to the company's manifesto, "What really matters is the size of your self-confidence."
