Come as You Are at Alien Abduction Festival Today

TORONTO - Come as You Are, a co-operatively run sex-toy, book and DVD store, will be one of the fundraisers for the 2008 Alien Abduction Festival on Thursday.

Come as You Are will be joined by area shops such as Happy Worker, 3rd Quadrant Comics, Bakka Phoenix Books and Raq n Waq in raising money for the Queen Street Fire Fund and celebrating all things extraterrestrial and science fiction.

"We are one of four stores in a historical and well-known neighborhood in Toronto that is raising funds for some neighbors who recently suffered a huge fire," said Sarah Forbes-Roberts, co-owner of Come as You Are. "The festival is a fun celebration of all that is alien, and we will be offering probology workshops."

Come as You Are will hold a workshop at the top of each hour from 5-9 p.m.

The 2008 Alien Abduction Festival will run from 5-11 p.m. at Queen and Bathurst streets in Toronto. Admission is free.
