Chocolate As an Aphrodisiac?

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - Flurtz Chocolate has announced the release of its herbal aphrodisiac chocolate candy, which now is available in the United States and Canada.

The heart-shaped dark chocolate is made with a proprietary blend of herbs said to enhance the sensations a woman feels during sexual experiences.

"I wanted to give women everywhere the opportunity that men have had for years in experiencing more intense and pleasurable feelings during sexual encounters," Flurtz owner Bonnie Stern said. "After all the research and testing with this product, I think women finally will be able to lead happier and more fulfilling sex lives with the use of Flurtz Chocolate."

She said Flurtz works by increasing blood flow to the pelvic area, which creates a warming sensation and intensifies sexual pleasure.

"We use 60 percent cacao dark chocolate, which has been well noted for its aphrodisiac qualities for centuries," Stern said. "[Flurtz also] contains phenylethylamine, [a property found in chocolate] known as the ‘love chemical,' which raises dopamine levels in the brain and creates a euphoric feeling that helps in reaching a whole new peak during orgasm."

Stern, a Los Angeles native, began her career in the garment industry and found success in running her own business-management company. After helping more than 200 companies grow and expand, Stern decided to pursue her lifelong dream - aiding the sexual empowerment of women - and launched Flurtz Chocolates earlier this year.
