BRAMPTON, Ontario - Though the papers are filled with stories about struggling retailers, Canada's couples-oriented Aren't We Naughty is bucking the trend.
What's keeping shoppers flocking to the store? Andrew Murgatroyd, the general manager, thinks couples are keen to spend more time with each other in an effort to bolster their relationship against the stress of financial worries.
"Sales, which were fantastic at Halloween and throughout November, have continued to defy the economic gloom, with record-breaking figures in most the stores in December," he says.
Aren't We Naughty has 11 locations in the greater Toronto area.
