CalExotics, Vivid and Romantix Throw Varone Launch Party

CHINO, Calif.—California Exotic Novelties, which last week announced the release of rock musician Phil Varone's Sex, Toys and Rock 'n Roll Collection, has more news about the new line of adult novelties. On May 17, the former drummer of Skid Row and Saigon Kick will launch his new toy line at a gala party held in the Romantix boutique on Melrose Avenue in Hollywood, Calif. The celebration takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

“Are you ready to rock?” says an enthusiastic Varone. “We’re gonna have some kicks at Romantix on Melrose. I look forward to seeing everyone there.”

The event is open to the public and admission is free. At his in-store appearance, Varone will sign autographs and offer photo opportunities. In addition to in-store specials and prize give-aways, the first 50 people will receive free goodie bags.

“The Sex, Toys and Rock ‘n Roll Collection is taking the country by storm,” said Susan Colvin, president and CEO of California Exotic Novelties. “This event is our way of officially launching Phil’s line with our good friends at Romantix.”

Nine products are featured in the Sex, Toys and Rock ‘n Roll Collection, all of which are available from Romantix. The signature piece is the Dr. Philgood, a dong available in a vibrating or non-vibrating version. It is the first product of its kind to come with a removable Prince Albert piercing, just like Phil Varone's own.

Christina Grant from Romantix expressed her enthusiasm for the line. “The Phil Varone line has so many cool toys. We love the Dr. Philgood, the vibrating Sex Sticks, the Backstage Pass, and all the rest. We’re planning on having a lot of fun with Phil and know our customers will enjoy it, too.”

Phil Varone’s latest DVD—Swinging American Style, from Vivid Entertainment—is also newly released, and will be available from Romantix at the event.
