CHINO, Calif. - Adult novelty manufacturer California Exotic Novelties has launched a new traveling-seminar program scheduled to begin May 1, in Ontario, Canada. Cal Exotics' sales associate Austin Ferdinand and sales representative Star Naranjo will lead the 90-minute educational seminars.
"With the introduction of so many new products to the marketplace, it's only natural that questions will arise," explained Ferdinand. "The three-plus weeks [per] month that I spend on the road meeting with our customers has made me aware that there is a definite need for continuing education, and I'm excited to be involved in the program."In addition to providing basic information such as the difference among vibrators, stimulators, and enhancers, the seminar's syllabus will cover a wide variety of subjects, including merchandising techniques, marketing tips, product demonstrations, and "hot new" products. The seminars also feature a question-and-answer segment and use commercials in educating consumers.
The new program already has generated enthusiasm, Ferdinand said, adding that more than 100 attendees so far have signed up for the "fun as well as informative" seminar series.
While seminar programs of this nature are a somewhat novel idea in the adult novelty industry, Cal Exotics founder and President Susan Colvin explained the significance and potential impact such education forums can provide. "Education is a key to success," she said. "The more knowledge that people gather, the better off they will be. I am so very proud to be implementing these programs and expect them to be very popular. I feel very secure that a customer who is introduced to and understands our products will buy our products."
Each seminar is scheduled to be 90 minutes in length, and in addition to educational information, attendees will receive refreshments, gift bags, and door prizes. The Ontario seminar will take place at the Holiday Inn Toronto West. Limited space is still available.
