Cal Exotics Expands COLT Leather Line

SAN FRANCISCO - California Exotic Novelties has expanded its collection of COLT Leather gear, with the addition of six new offerings. The new COLT Leather merchandise hits stores just in time as COLT Leather celebrates its third year anniversary.

Kristofer Weston, marketing and project coordinator for COLT Studio Group told AVN Novelty Business the line was originally launched in Europe and was a huge success.

"We've worked very closely with Susan Colvin and her team at Cal Exotics to design the additions to the COLT Gear and COLT Leather line of accessories," he said. "COLT Studio Group has always had a very masculine image and the ‘Leather Man' was a big part of that image. Since we put out a yearly COLT Leather calendar and have such a huge collection of leather images in our vault, it only seemed natural to create a line of leather accessories that complimented this masculine ideal."

The new additions to the COLT Leather line from Cal Exotics this week include the Double Wide Strap, Adjustable 3 & 5 Snap C/B Straps, and 8 Snap C/B Strap Fastener, H Piece C/B Strap Divider, and a Cock and Ball Domed Strap.

The development of the accessories is a team effort according to Weston.

"For COLT Leather, we have worked with both our partners, California Exotic Novelties and Clone Zone in the United Kingdom," he explained. "We use a subtle soft Grade A leather from the United States, and we are proud to say that these newest additions to the COLT Leather line are all Made in the U.S.A."

Weston also said that COLT Leather accessories are perfect for retailers who are new to carrying BDSM merchandise.

"We know there are many choices for the consumer in the BDSM accessory and gear arena," he continued. "Many of these choices can be overwhelming to the average consumer. Our target customer is the curious one, looking to try something new and whom trusts the COLT brand for its quality. We are experiencing great success with the COLT Leather accessories for retailers who typically would not carry leather, due to the trusted COLT brand and polished packaging."
