British Community Center Bans BDSM Class

TRUMPINGTON, England—A class that billed itself as a “relationship support” meeting has been banned from Trumpington Village Hall after community officials found out it was actually a BDSM class.

According to the Cambridge News, city officials thought the space was booked for a support group, but once the newspaper revealed it was reserved “by a bondage group the trustees were stunned to discover the hall, which usually hosts WI meetings, bingo and Brownies, was actually going to host lessons in flogging, spanking and domination.”

The description for the class, organized by Peer Rope Cambridge, promised advice on how to “truly get a bottom’s attention with canes,” “violence/resistance play” and the “basics of erotic hypnosis.

The £10 fee for the all-day event, which was scheduled for Oct. 12, also promised tea, coffee, pastries and biscuits.

Community leaders cancelled the event and said they are looking into possible legal action since the hall was booked for one purpose but the intent for use was another.

“We provide services for little old ladies and child care groups. Some of our little old ladies who come to play Bingo will be upset,” said hall Manager Barbara Fernandez.
